I’m a Washington, D.C., based journalist. In five years, I’ve covered business, politics, the Supreme Court and local government and have written for newspapers, produced television, shot and edited video and led social engagement projects.

The longer I work in journalism, the more I believe in reporting.

To me, details and context matter most. At the Roanoke Times, I scoured public records and data to find local stories. At PBS NewsHour, I helped to shape political discussions that are nearly unmatched on television in their depth, thoughtfulness and length. At the National Law Journal, I examine business news and trends facing the legal industry in Washington, D.C.

Send me an email if you think a lot about American business and the legal industry, or you’d like to talk journalism.
